Girl Talent at Eddy's Briney

Geez - we're SO dang proud of these ladies!! Britney Quigney is a sweet elfin 14 year old, a neighbor of Eddy's on Whidbey Island.

She skipped into the store one day and presented us with a small painting, a colorful decorated sentence declaring simply her beliefs in individuality - and likely the beliefs of many other free spirits. We were instantly charmed by this delightful, happy young lady and her creative energy which extends to flute playing, jewelry making and fabulous school projects.  Visitors to Eddy's just adore her t-shirt, and the lucky ones can sometimes catch her playing flute on the bench outside 'Mikes Place' on a sunny afternoon. Click here to hear from her.

wickedBriony Morrow Cribbs is another brilliant young local artist who's etching 'Armadillo' adorns one of Eddy's best selling t-shirts.armadillo

Recently this busy lady completed the illustrations for a fabulous funny and insightful book with the most excellent title,  'Wicked Plants - The Weed That Killed Lincoln's Mother And Other Botanical Atrocities'. Congratulations Miss Briony!  The book can be purchased in Langley at Moonraker Bookshop on First Street. Here is Briony's website.

Eddy's very cool store is located on First Street in Langley on Whidbey Island.

Recently Patricia Duff, intrepid arts reporter for The South Whidbey Record visited Eddy's and wrote the following article. She even managed to snap a photograph of our muse - the original happy little Eddy!   Yes - he really does exist folks! Read it here.

Michel Tsouris is having a show at Karlson/Gray Gallery

Tsourisright next door to Eddy's. The show is fantastic. Her multi-media work is really funny, some is mysterious and some of the tiny paintings look like dreams you've had! You must go see it if you're in town. Michel keeps chickens on her farm on Whidbey, and they obviously were the source of inspiration for her Eddy's t-shirt design which is a big favorite with visitors to the store.
